If you are interested in electric motorcycle and the Isle of Man is in your bucket wish list, then go and check out the movie Charge on Netflix.  Charge captured the pioneering essence of the very first electric motorcycles on the famous Isle of Man.

From the department of: I can’t believe I missed it, comes the movie Charge!  The movie Charge mostly focuses on MotoCzysz (pronounced Sziz), it does recap the very first year of the TTXGP, now TT Zero.  This is well worth a watch.  Director Mark Neal captures the essence of those early pioneering years.  The movie takes us through the creation of MotoCzysz, an early electric motorcycle pioneer and the first year electric motorcycles arrived on the Isle of Man.  Try not to laugh too much at the commentaries from well meaning but eventually wrong die-hard petrol gear heads’ comments on electric motorcycles.  They are very amusing and you will see over the years how they find less and less to badmouth.

Besides the MotoCzyscz focus, Neal gives Cedric Lynch, the brain behind the Agni electric motors his fair share of time.  Cedric is your ultimate mad English scientist and I can’t get enough of his acceeeent.

Overall the movie is a must see for any electric vehicle fan.  It captures the essence of early electric racing.  You will go through the ups and downs of a new race series, but just promise us one thing; Don’t go out and get an electric motorcycle right after.
