Porsche will unveil an all-new sport utility vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show this month. The Porsche Macan is a compact SUV and will be the fifth model in Porsche’s lineup. The unveil will take place on press day on Wednesday, November 20.
Other models to debut include the 911 Turbo Cabriolet and the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet in their first international unveiling. These top-line, open air 911 cars have a zero to sixty of just 3.3 and 3.1 seconds (respectively) and a top track speed of 195 mph.
The LA Auto Show will also have the first North American showing of the 918 Spyder and on display will be the Panamera Turbo S and Panamera Turbo S Executive, both of which debut at the Tokyo Motor Show shortly before LA.
The LA show is important to Porsche as the Los Angeles area accounts for about 17 percent of the company’s total U.S. sales. It’s so important that Porsche is building a one-of-a-kind, first-ever “experience center” there, which will open at the end of 2014 with a world-class track and handling course for customers and enthusiasts to use to hone driving skills.
