The 2013 High Five Tour with the Wounded Warriors Family Support Mustang is currently in Colorado on its way towards Denver this weekend. The 2013 Mustang GT500 Super Snake is on a 48-state tour on which it will cover a total of more than 21,000 miles.
The High Five Tour this year is on a mission to raise funds for two “smart homes” to be built for two severely disabled veterans and their families so that they can have a better quality of life despite their injuries. The two wounded warriors chosen to receive the homes this year are SFP John Masson of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Sergeant Rusty Dunagan of Gurthrie, Oklahoma. One hundred percent of the funds donated during the High Five Tour this year will go towards the home renovations required for these two wounded vets.
Sadly, despite the tour being in Colorado this weekend, I am unable to attend any of the stops to check out and sign the 2013 Mustang GT500 Super Snake that’s been specially painted in an American flag red-white-blue motif. Those who do visit one of the stops can sign the car with their thanks for wounded warriors everywhere and get a free haircut from Sport Clips. Donations are accepted both in person at stops and on the Wounded Warriors Family Support website, which you can find here.
The tour in Denver this weekend ends at Phil Long Ford from 6-8 pm and then proceeds towards Utah, Idaho, then Washington, Oregon and California. From there, other points will include Arizona, Texas, and more. The final stop is Omaha, Nebraska, ending the tour after visiting all 48 states and hundreds of towns along the way.
