Car News Cafe Reader’s Choice Awards 2024

Our Reader's Choice awards honor the top five most popular car reviews according to you, the Car News Cafe reader.

We’re nearing the end of 2024, which means it’s awards time in automotive. While everyone else is giving out awards for “Best of” or “Top Pick” or whatever, we here at Car News Cafe focus instead on what you, our readers, like.

So here are the top five 2024 model year vehicles, by site traffic and searches, that we’ve reviewed on our website this year. The vehicles that you, our readers, have been most interested in.

Choosing this list was simple: we looked at this model year’s vehicle reviews on our site, sorted them by search and viewing traffic, and made a list of 5. Here’s that list.

#1 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6

The Ioniq 6 has a curvy, beautiful look with a lot of Porsche influence. The Ioniq 6 follows up from the well-done Ioniq 5. This review was far and away our most popular this year.

#2 2024 Nissan Z Nismo

The seventh-generation Nissan Z is one of the best sports cars available today, we think. And that’s proven by your response to this video review of the car shared with us from DriveModeShow.

#3 2024 Can-Am Defender

For the second time in a row, a “not a car or truck” vehicle makes our list. This time, it’s the Can-Am Defender, a utility vehicle that was very popular with you all. Nearly as popular as the Z sports car, in fact!

#4 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz

Our list usually includes a pickup truck, but this time it was the truck most truck enthusiasts say isn’t one. We beg to differ and you all seem to agree! The Santa Cruz is a great little option for those who need the utility, but not the hassle or bulk.

#5 2024 Kia EV9

The EV9 is Kia’s latest electric vehicle and it’s a three-row masterpiece. It was popular among readers as well, who came here under “three row EV” as the top search term for this one.

Honorable Mention – 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X

Just behind the EV9 is the Canyon AT4X from GMC. This midsize pickup truck with its excellent off-road package is the kind of thing that is often popular here at Car News Cafe. Just not quite popular enough to beat out the Kia for a slot in our top 5.
