The Saleen Model S is the Saleen FOURSIXTEEN
About a month ago, Saleen invited me and my Teslarati owner friend for a sneak preview of the Saleen Model S. Steve Saleen showed me what his Saleen FourSixteen (his completely re-engineered Model S) for two laps. It was amazing two laps, especially after hearing so many rumors about the car. The Saleen Model S is real and already works very well. Steve Saleen went from the ground up to completely overhaul the MOdel S and turn it into the Saleen FourSixteen. To think that Steve Saleen and his crew are still working on developing it, only makes me look forward to the final product even more.
If the Tesla Model S already handles admirably well, the Saleen FourSixteen reveals the Model S’ hidden personality. The car cornered flat. It was an amazing sensation to feel the car brake, position itself at the apex of a turn, and with razor precision, flat out sprint to the next corner. The Saleen Model S, and let’s get used to calling it the FourSixteen, will be the answer anyone’s desire for a sportier Model S experience and those wondering how it would do on a track.
