The 2014 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace will take place on September 5-7 as one of the largest and most popular Concours shows globally. About 65 percent of all attendees come in from overseas to this British show. This year, about sixty cars are expected and show organizers have unveiled what some of those will be.
An 1896 Lutzmann, shown above, will be featured as well as the new Ferrari LaFerrari hypercar (below).
Aside from those two showcases of old and new, other cars such as a 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Flying Star will be on display. So will a post-war Jaguar XK120 Jabbeke, which broke the 1953 land speed record.
The race-winning 1966 Ford GT40 from that year’s Le Mans 24 Hours will be there as will one of just six 1970 AMC AMX/3 sportscars. Finally, the one-off Bertone Lancia Stratos Zero show car rounds out the initial list of entrants at the Palace this year.
Aside from the 60 showcase cars being shown this year, another 700 or more are expected as entries from clubs, owners, and manufacturers.
