The three of us (Adam, Nicolas and I) worked hard to create this van through the new Custom Graphics Tool at fordcommercialgraphics.com. Our design incorporated several things inherent to our philosophies as automotive journalists and enthusiasts here at Car News Cafe.
To begin with, we chose the Transit Connect because it’s efficient, right-sized and, as Nicolas pointed out, is also available in several drivetrain options to be as environmentally-friendly as possible. Adam also owns stock in Ford, so he obviously has an interest in people buying their products.
Our base color is red because, as Aaron likes to say, “red cars go faster.” So it was an obvious choice. The addition of the CarNewsCafe logo to the rear panel, of course, was a no-brainer, but Adam insisted that we make it swappable with the logo-laden coffee mug that is our current site logo. That mug can also be used on the rear doors if you wish, thanks to design work by Nicolas.
Finally, the hood of the van epitomizes the entire philosophy of operations here at Car News Cafe perfectly. It is also the original logo for our record-setting and award-winning podcast, which has been received with much acclaim critically.*
