The official trailer for the upcoming movie “Rush” about the 1976 F1 season directed by Ron Howard was released on Youtube today. Ron Howard sent out a Tweet about the new “Rush” trailer on his official Twitter account @RealRonHoward.

The movie looks like it will be pretty epic as it is centers around the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda. Hunt who is played by Chris Hemsworth (who played Thor in “Thor” and “The Avengers”) seems like he characterizes Hunt well. Lauda is played by Daniel Brühl (best known for playing Fredrick Zoller in “Inglourious Basterds”) and was able to convey Lauda’s racing acumen.
Of course this is just the trailer, we will have to wait and see the movie. Judging by the fact that it is directed by Hollywood legend Ron Howard and he used the actual Formula One cars from the 1976 F1 season, “Rush” should be a great movie for racing fans and regular moviegoers alike. According to IMDB (Internet Movie Database) the Rush is set to release on September 20th, 2013.
