Cars & Coffee is one of the most fun anyone can have at a car event. Spontaneous, random, this is where you will find an original Fiat 500 next to a muscle car, a Ferrari Enzo next to an early Datsun and more.
For those of you who don’t know Cars & Coffee, check out the website and see where the closest is. Then wake up very, very early and go there religiously every Saturday morning. If there isn’t one nearby, then create your own. Once you become a regular, you will forge lasting friendships. These lasting friendships will open up doors, usually to private, hidden away collector’s garages. If you are lucky enough, sincere and honest, you might even get to drive some amazing cars.
Cars & Coffee, An Ad Hoc Mix. A few years ago, there were only three Cars & Coffee. Today, the national site proudly boasts 11 locations. Every Saturday is a new adventure, a new lottery game where you will see that unique car only available in magazines. For instance, there was a Zagato stunning AC 378 GT It is even prettier in real life than on paper. The car’s subtle lines and that typical Italian flair mated to a carbon composite bodywork on top of a steel-tube frame with its potent 6.2 liter V8 pushing out 434 hp is harmonious. The 0 to 60 happens in less than four seconds and its power to weight ratio is 292.55 hp/ton, or 220.48 kW/ton.
We met a group of young car enthusiasts, whose interview I will have shortly. They will show you that passion still runs deep with the younger generation.
Back To The Future, All Over Again. Another key attraction that showed up this Saturday morning was one of the Back To The Future movie DeLorean cars, neatly helped with clips playing the movie. The car attracted so many people, it was difficult getting good shots.
Although we didn’t see any electric cars this time, as you can see from the pictures below, Cars & Coffee is the Mecca for automobile enthusiasts. Stay tune this week for an interview we conducted. You never know what to expect every Saturday at Cars And Coffee.
