On March 24, Jaguar will introduce the all-new, all-aluminum second-generation XF in a journey across London before traveling to New York for the auto show. That epic journey across London won’t be any normal cruise through the streets, but will instead involve British stuntman Jim Dowdall and some high wires.
Dowdall has been involved in films such as the Bond, Bourne, and Indiana Jones series and plans to do something extraordinary with the new Jaguar XF. To highlight its light weight and agile nature, the stuntman will drive the car across two 1.3-inch diameter wires suspended above water. The event will be streamed live on JaguarUSA.com/NewXF at 3:00 pm EST on the 24th.
First launched in North America in 2008 and receiving a complete redesign for the 2016 model year, the next generation Jaguar XF will be the second Jaguar model to feature the brand’s advanced aluminum-intensive architecture.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said, “I believe the all-new Jaguar XF will be the best looking car in its class. Elegant, handsome and with proportions that imbue a great sense of integrity – the all-new XF will be true to the strong tradition of sporting Jaguar sedans while being completely of its time.”
The new Jaguar XF enters showrooms in the United States this fall.
