Something always bothered Kristin Russell about something her stepdad did years ago with his Porsche 914, he sold it for the family. Dave, Kristin’s dad, owned a beautiful white 1973 Porsche 914. He worked hard to save up money so he could restore the Porsche to it’s original glory but unfortunately life got in the way. Dave decided his family was more important than his beloved Porsche 914 so he sold the car so he could have money for a wedding to marry Kristin’s mom.
While the Porsche 914 is not a car that many Porsche enthusiasts lust after, Kristin knew that her dad loved that car. So for Father’s Day she wanted to do something special. She searched the country and hunted down an similar 1973 Porsche 914 in Arizona, drove from California to check it out, then bought it, and shipped it out to Pennsylvania where her stepdad lives. The Porsche 914 she bought needed some repair work but it looked pretty much just like the one Dave used to own. After it got necessary repairs she surprised him with the car for Father’s Day as a special gift.
