The family of E-Class vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz line is getting a refresh to include a new engine, A new E 450 model, upgraded technologies, and more. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will receive some styling refreshes as well, including a new 19-inch AMG wheel option, a Night Package for exterior enhancement, and more.
The 2019 E 450 and E 450 4Matic models enter the E-Class family to debut a new engine and drivetrain for the E, adding a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 that outputs 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be mated to a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (“4Matic”) drivetrain in the sedan, coupe, cabriolet, or wagon models of the E-Class.
This upgraded V6 adds 33 horsepower to the previous six-cylinder’s output, causing the upgrade in designation from E 400 to E 450.
Also added this year is a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 241 horsepower for the E 300 models in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class lineup.
Those who decide to treat yourself to a Mercedes will also find that the new 2019 E-Class offers upgraded technology in the cabin and in safety systems. The infotainment in the Mercedes-Benz E now includes a new infotainment control system with enahnced graphics and faster responses. Going with this is a new map and navigation data system that can use route-based speed adaptation to more safely navigate roads.
New driver-assistance systems and enhanced options in the 2019 E-Class are further bolstered by a new three-spoke steering wheel with Nappa leather wrap. This steering wheel has easier-to-use controls built-in so that the driver’s hands never leave the while, even when controlling advanced safety equipment.
Trim options in the E-Class are now matched to center console designs with two new trims added for 2019. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will enter showrooms in late 2018.
