Lincoln, an iconic luxury automotive brand for discerning individuals with a heritage linked to presidents, royalty and movie stars, unveiled three all-new vehicles at Auto Shanghai 2015, including MKX – a medium-large-sized premium utility, the Navigator – a full-size SUV, and the Lincoln Continental Concept – a vision for Lincoln’s future full-size sedan to come next year. These new vehicles further demonstrate Lincoln’s commitment to bringing five new vehicles to China by 2016 with a uniquely personalized ownership experience to match.
Since launching in late 2014, Lincoln has opened eleven Lincoln Stores in nine cities, bringing to life “personally crafted experiences” called The Lincoln Way to a new generation of luxury auto customers in China, and on track to expand its dealer network to 60 dealers in 50 cities by 2016. The Lincoln MKX and Navigator will join the MKZ and MKC in Lincoln’s showroom in the second half of 2015, further expanding the brand’s line-up in China.
“China’s luxury auto market is growing very rapidly, and it is one of the most important markets for us to focus on and develop going forward,” said Kumar Galhotra, President of Lincoln. “With this new lineup we are staying true to Lincoln’s reputation for quality, design and innovation to meet the evolving demands of Chinese consumers.”
“We are encouraged by the initial reception of the Lincoln brand in China,” said Robert Parker, President of Lincoln China. “The interest of consumers in the MKC and MKZ has exceeded our expectations. Combined with the personally crafted experiences we are bringing to customers through The Lincoln Way, we have laid a strong foundation for the brand to grow in China over the next few years.”
