Volkswagen has announced pricing for the much-anticipated limited edition Beetle Classic model, which hits showrooms this week. The lowest-priced model in the lineup, the new Beetle Classic 1.8T Coupe, begins at a base price of $20,195. It enters the showroom with several trim-specific updates and nostalgic throwback additions.
The Classic trim features 17-inch “Heritage” aluminum-alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a leather-wrapped shifter knob and handbrake lever, two-tone brown “Sioux” leatherette and checked cloth seating surfaces, comfort front seats with driver’s side lumbar support, and a six-speed automatic transmission. The car is available in three colors—Pure White, Black Uni, and Reflex Silver—and has “an understated retro look” inside and out.
The Classic model will also have a Convertible Classic option, entering showrooms in early 2015. This model will start at $25,995, but will only be available in the turbocharged version of the Beetle.
