Porsche has announced the debut of its World Endurance Championship racer, the 919 Hybrid, will take place at the Geneva Motor Show this week. You can watch that debut live online via the link below. Also on the stage will be the company’s premier of the 911 RSR, which will race alongside the new 919 in WEC. The European debut of the 911 Targa will also happen at the show (see the Detroit debut here).
Porsche is calling this Mission 2014, its plan to retake dominance of the World Endurance Championship one Grand Prix at a time. The Porsche 919 Hybrid will compete in the LMP1 top category for WEC. It was designed to meet the efficiency regulations of this year’s Le Mans FIA requirements.
Both the 919 Hybrid and the 911 RSR are scheduled to be in all eight rounds of the Endurance Champs this season. The 911 RSR competes in the GT category.
Also at the Geneva show will be the debut of the Porsche Macan S Diesel model, which is expected to be the carmaker’s top European model in SUVs.
