The Los Angeles Auto Show 2013 is underway after having opened its doors to the public on Friday. CarNewsCafe was there Thursday for the media day with a tantalizing BMW i3 test drive.
If this year’s LA Auto Show is not as electrified as it has been the past years, it has grown in maturity, but mostly in the vast array of green performance cars it now shows to the public. Yes, electric cars are not always presented first and foremost, but are now part a string of cars ranging from SUVs and pickup trucks to highly well thought out green performance cars.
We will have more to say on a great talk we had with Kelvin Hiraishi, Director R&D Engineering West who completely captured the essence of Mazda.
Ford’s display is still as impressive as last year, in fact it is the same with newer models, including the unveiling of the Edge. We look forward to a seven day test drive of the Focus Electric.
