The 2014 Audi R8 is now available for sale in showrooms globally. The car comes in both Coupe and Spyder formats with two engine options and three model trims The R8 V8, R8 V10, and the R8 V10 Plus.
The R8 Coupe with a manual transmission starts at $114,900 (plus destination) and climbs to $124,000 (plus destination) for the S tronic automatic transmission. The R8 Spyder starts at $128,400 in manual and $137,500 with S tronic – destination not included.
The V10 engine option starts at $151,200 for the Coupe and $164,700 for the Spyder – both in manual transmission, destination not included. The V10 Plus Coupe starts at $170,545 and is not available in the Spyder format.
The difference between the V10 and V10 Plus is mostly about speed, fittings and markings. The V10 Plus offers a faster speed over the standard V10 and has the “Plus” logo added to the vehicle’s nameplate and interior fittings. It outputs 550 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, doing 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds (S tronic). It also adds carbon fiber side blades, front splitter, rear diffuser, spoiler, etc.
The 2014 R8 started hitting showrooms on April 11 and will make its screen debut in the upcoming Iron Man 3, which hits theaters next month.
