Subaru will be introducing the brand’s first hybrid, the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid, will debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show later this month. This is an important step for Subaru since virtually all it’s competitors have moved into offering hybrids in their vehicle lineups.
The 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid will be based on the popular XV Crosstrek crossover which was introduced for 2013 model year. The new XV Crosstrek Hybrid will utitlize a Subaru engineered Hybrid system and will of course feature Subaru’s famous Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD).
I think the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid should please any New Englanders or others who live in cold climates and want All-Wheel-Drive capability along with Subaru reliability. We will have to wait for more details about the Crosstrek Hybrid but is is clear it is aiming for the outdoorsy crowd who wants to be “green.”
Subaru will also reveal an all-new performance concept car at the 2013 NY Auto Show.
